You can find Noctua equipment, in its original colors, as inelegant as you like, but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s appreciated. As we’ve seen recently, some people have had fun creating portable fans bearing the brand’s effigy. Now, a Reddit user has come up with a home-made Noctua RTX 4090!

RTX 4090 Noctua: a home-made triple fan card!

RTX 4090 NoctuaOnce again, this testifies to the Austrian brand’s solid reputation in PC cooling. Indeed, ASUS collaborated with the brand to offer an RTX 4080 bearing the Austrian’s effigy. The same goes for Cycom, which offers boards equipped with NF-A12x25.

Now, a Reddit user is 3D printing a fairing for his card. On it, he installs a trio of NF-A9x14 PWMs, which he holds in place using the brand’s siliconized nipples. All that’s left to do is attach the new fairing directly to the board’s radiator and enjoy the result.

The effects are clearly beneficial, with temperatures reduced by 8°C. As for noise, no data is shared, however, the user indicates that the card has become much quieter! Judging by the photos, the original card is none other than an RTX 4090 iChill x3.
