To learn more about the next RTX 4070 Ti, we will have to turn to PNY where we learn a little more. Indeed, thanks to the brand, we know more about the specs and frequencies of the card. Also, two visuals are now available.
RTX 4070 Ti: same specs as RTX 4080 12Gb (RIP)!
Visibly, no change in specs between the 4070 Ti and the RTX 4080 12GB, cancelled by NVIDIA. In fact, NVIDIA is simply changing the name of the card and therefore retains all the specs of its card. The latter would then embark 7680 cuda core, all, clocked at 2310/2610 MHz(base/boost). Regarding the memory, we would have the right to 12 GB of GDDR6X on an interface of 192 bits. This confirms what we assumed here.
The custom versions of PNY:
Besides that, our colleagues at VideoCardz have also managed to get their hands on some visuals of PNY’s custom cards. For the moment, two models are visible with the XLR8 Verto and Verto. The first card is the most elaborate with its RGB lighting system. The second one, remains more basic, with a less elaborate heatsink, with less aluminum fins and more compact: 3 slots against 3.3 slots according to our colleagues.
However, what interests us is the visual of the exploded card. The latter allows us to discover the cooling system of the card of the brand, but especially the PCB of the latter. As we can see, the 12VHPWR connector is part of the card, as well as the six GDDR6X memory chips. On the other hand, compared to the RTX 4080, the power supply stages are less numerous.
Finally, there remains only the question of the final price which, hopefully, or lower than the ~$900 of the RTX 4080 12GB (since cancelled). As for the launch, we can expect a date in january 5th.
