23.11.1: AMD driver for Modern Warfare III

0

A new driver from AMD this time. The brand has released version 23.11.1 of its RADEON Software Adrenalin Edition driver. This new version tackles the new games you’re familiar with: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (config here) in particular. But above all, we’ll be remembering the large number of fixes applied in this version!

23.11.1: numerous patches deployed!

GeForce 546.01 - Call of Duty: Modern Warfare IIICall of Duty: Modern Warfare III is clearly in the spotlight, as its launch is imminent. That’s why this new opus in the franchise finds itself supported by AMD’s driver. But it’s not the only game to benefit from support. Also supported are Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, The Invicible and JX3 Ultimate.

Otherwise, Alan Wake II benefits from RADEON Boost support, while improvements/optimizations are made to Stable Diffusion, Lightroom, DaVinci Resolve and UL Procyon AI for the RX 600M, RX 700M and RX 6000 and 7000.

With this release, AMD brings a number of fixes, as follows:

  • The Performance Overlay will no longer display N/A in various games.
  • The RX 7600 will deliver decent performance on Counter Strike 2.
  • No more intermittent flickering on the Total War: Pharaoh menu after a graphics parameter change.
  • Certain textures on Alan Wake 2 will no longer flicker either.
  • Building the shader cache will no longer require an incorrect restart on Baldur’s Gate 3 using the Vulkan API.
  • The same applies to Forza Motorsport.
  • No more intermittent driver crashes on the credit screen after finishing a race in Forza Motorsport.
  • Intermittent black screens or error 31 in the Device Manager after rebooting with an RX 6700 XT have been corrected.

Finally, we’d like to close with a few previously identified problems:

  • Audio/video desynchronization may occur when recording in AV1 via RADEON Software.
  • Intermittent corruptions can be observed on the pite when playing EA Sports WRC.
  • Stars may fail to appear intermittently on Crysis Remastered.
  • Micro-stuttering can occur when a Chromium-based browser is running on an RX 7000-equipped machine with a secondary display connected to a Ryzen 7000 (had to find that one).
