Corsair has announced its RS120 Max fans. These fans feature a thick frame – at least, thicker than the usual 25 mm. In fact, to maximize performance, the company has opted for a 30 mm thick frame!
RS120 Max: maximum performance for these 120×30 mm fans!
With its new fans, Corsair is offering us 120 mm mills. However, the frame is thicker than usual, the aim being to opt for thicker blades or blades with a particular profile to maximize performance. In fact, the figures are rather encouraging, as the mill operates at a maximum of 2000 rpm. However, static pressure reaches a maximum of 4.2 mmH2O, with an airflow of 72 CFM.
Otherwise, the fan’s frame is in line with that of today’s AF120 Elite, with rubber silentblocks . At the rear, we find the AirGuide blades whose purpose is to channel the airflow. Finally, the blades themselves are made from LCP, a liquid-crystal polymer, to improve their rigidity.
All that remains is the price, which is important, as the three-fan pack is priced at €118.25 on Corsair’s website. The unit price is €43.56… The price of RGB fans… But without RGB lighting.
