At ASRock, we’re pleased to announce the arrival of a new small motherboard. The brand is offering us a Z790i Lightning WiFi, a rather sturdy mini-ITX model with good OC capabilities, according to the brand.

The board adopts a LGA-1700 socket and a Z790 chipset. A B760 version is also available.
Obviously, connectivity is limited by the board’s format. We find PCIe x16 5.0 connectivity. Three SATA III and two M.2 in PCIe 4.0 x4 are available.
What’s really interesting here, however, is the memory part, which, via its two DIMM slots, supports DDR5 at 8600 MT/s. What’s more, we can count on an 8-layer PCB with 2 oz. copper tracks. On the CPU side, the board offers a total of 15 1 1 power supply phases with 110A Dr.Mos, topped by an active cooling system with fan and heat pipe.
In short, the board is well armed for overclocking, and ASRock already boasts four world records and first places in various categories.
Finally, what’s the difference with the version equipped with a B760 chipset ? More advanced OC functions and 20k black capacitors for the Z790.
