If you combine an AMD graphics card with Windows 11, it’s not impossible that you’ve installed the KB5030310 update, which makes a mess of your driver settings. Every time you reboot, your driver settings are reset by default!

Windows 11: watch out for the update that loads the default settings for your AMD driver!

“It’s broken!”

Microsoft recently rolled out the KB5030310 update for its Windows 11 system. This brought a number of bug fixes, notably related to Excel, the Korean keyboard, standby mode and more. But, incidentally, it also affected AMD’s graphics driver.

So every time you reboot from cold, your settings are reset to factory defaults… At least, what you customize. Obviously, the main functionalities are spared. If you’re the kind of person who applies custom settings for various features such as Anti-Lag, Hyper RX, etc., you’re in for a rude awakening every time you reboot.

Fortunately, only these settings are affected. Behind them, the driver works normally, and the driver panel is functional.

If you’re the kind of person who uses his hardware in its default settings, you probably won’t have to do a thing. On the other hand, each time you reboot, having to re-apply your settings can quickly become irritating. Fortunately, you can uninstall this update to get around this problem.
