A quick update on V-Color memory. Indeed, the brand manages to reach 8000 MT/s on AMD’s new Threadripper platform. The configuration was based on a Gigabyte TRX50 Aero D!
V-Color, RAM reaches 8000 MT/s on a TRX50 Aero D!
The configuration used was, of course, a Gigabyte TRX50 Aero D. During the exercise, this was accompanied by a Threadripper 7970X CPU with 32 cores and 64 threads. However, what interests us here is the memory used, a 4×16 GB DDR5 kit. During the exercise, the memory was pushed to 8,000 MT/s. Timings were pushed to 40-52-52-126, but we have no idea what voltage was used.
Below, you’ll find a small screen attesting to the brand’s success… We won’t dwell on the “crack” folder on the desktop – it’s certainly not what it seems.
As for the kit used, we assume that it is clearly the kit previously announced by the brand. As a reminder, these are compact memory modules using a silver-colored chromed heatsink. Initially, the company announced modules operating at up to 7200 MT/s for capacities of up to 128 GB. This memory should arrive soon, as indicated by the “coming soon” on the brand’s website.
