Rumors indicate that NVIDIA could reconsider the selling price of its future RTX 4060 Ti downwards. Indeed, the card could land at a price of $399, the same as the RTX 3060 Ti. Finally, it seems that high prices are a brake on sales… Who would have believed it?
RTX 4060 Ti: towards a price of $399?
Currently, with this model, we expect a mid-range card with an AD106 GPU. The chip would contain 34 SM and 4352 cuda core. On the other hand, the memory part would put forward 8 GB of GDDR6 clocked at 18 Gbps as well as a memory bus of 128 bits. All this would contribute to offer a bandwidth of 288 Gb/s.
Otherwise, in terms of performance, we expect this model to be at least as powerful as the RTX 3070 and maybe even the RTX 3070 Ti. Nevertheless, these perfs would be obtained with a reduced consumption since the GPU would have a TGP of 150W instead of 290W for the 3070 Ti and 220W for the 3070.
Finally, the price could be $399, the same as the RTX 3060 Ti. According to rumors, NVIDIA would seriously consider this price in view of the low sales of the RTX 4070. On the other hand, other rumors were reporting a selling price of $450… Nothing is set in stone. Nevertheless, at $399, the difference with the RTX 4070 would be really important: $200 difference, enough to leave room for another chip.
