For the record, these scores were obtained using a machine from Dell. This was equipped with the largest processor in the series, the 7995WX, featuring 96 cores and 192 threads. By default, the CPU operates at a base frequency of 2.5 GHz, with a turbo boost to 5.1 GHz. Naturally, the TDP is impressive: 350W.

PCMag’s results show a score of 100,291 pts on R23. Against the Threadripper Pro 5995WX, scores are up 55%. Against the Xeon W9-3495X, the latter posted 81% performance. In short, AMD’s processor literally runs over everything in this field of application!

At a QuasarZone event in South Korea, the processor was overclocked. Of course, the liquid nitrogen was out… And no, the CPU isn’t fit to be thrown away after the extreme cold.

So, when pushed to 4.4 GHz on its 96 cores, this model posted a massive score of almost 150,000 pts on Cinebench R23, 148,719 pts to be precise. In short, with a single CPU, the current world record of 147,668 pts is smashed. As a reminder, this score of 147,000 pts and more was obtained with a duo of Epyc 9654s (96c/192t @3.7 GHz boost).

For the record, at these frequencies, the processor drew no less than 620W.Overclocking is supported via Ryzen Master, while the software accepts a maximum power consumption limit of 1000W!
