Streacom announces the SG10 box

In the words of Streacom, the SG10 case: “it’s an ambitious product, designed to push the boundaries of fanless technology and create a gaming case capable of cooling high-performance processors and GPUs without fans”. And it’s not hard to imagine that this is quite a challenge. We’ve already told you about it, since the brand took advantage of Computex 2023 to tease out this Streacom SG10 case.

Internal design :

At the heart of the SG10 housing is the Loop Heat Pipe (LHP) system. Unlike traditional heat pipes, where the fluid phase change occurs in opposite directions inside the pipe, the LHP phase-change cycle occurs in a continuous flow around the loop.

The core technology that makes this possible is the evaporator; it features a patented solid-state capillary pump that creates a flow of pressurized vapor into the condenser, where it cools to liquid, then flows to the evaporator, where the cycle repeats. This pressurized flow makes the LHP much more efficient at moving heat away from the source, and allows a larger working area for convection/radiation. What’s more, since the tubes that form the loop don’t require a wick, flexible lines can be used to make material positioning and adjustment considerably more versatile.

Streacom considers its LHP system to be better than standard heat pipes because of the increased conveying distance, overall efficiency and ability to absorb very high heat flows.

Not one, but two cooling solutions:

Streacom cases are built around a structure that also acts as a cooling system. With the SG10, this design philosophy has been taken a step further, as the shape and size of the case has been defined and built around the two capacitors to achieve this high level of performance.

You’ll be able to keep two components like your processor and graphics card cool. What about compatibility with current sockets and graphics cards? While there is standardization for processor sockets, this is not the case for GPUs. Streacom is aware that it’s impossible to support every GPU on the market. The brand will therefore be listening carefully to make a choice and make this Streacom SG10 case compatible with the most widely used graphics cards.

With or without fan :

The Streacom SG10 case can of course be used without any fan, for a maximum combined TDP of 600 watts. However, the SG10 has been designed to accommodate 120 mm fans that attach directly to the rails beneath each condenser. This will increase cooling performance by 15-20%.

As far as availability is concerned, while we don’t yet have any information on an official date, two versions should be available. The first, priced at 1,200 euros, will be a ” Copper Edition “, while the classic version (aluminum fins) will set you back 1,000 euros.
