Ryzen 9 9950X sets another record

After various leaks, we move on to records, as ASUS has come up with a nice record with the Ryzen 9 9950X, which hasn’t even been released yet.

As a reminder, AMD’s 9950X is due for release on August 15, following a delay.

The first record set by the Ryzen 9 9950X dates back to a few weeks ago, during AMD’s Tech Day, when it achieved 55,296 points on Cinebench R23. But ASUS wanted to go much further and set its own record this time.

To set the record, ASUS used a ROG Crosshair X670E Gene. This is a motherboard with two RAM slots, designed for advanced overclocking. And under LN2, it works miracles, as ASUS set a new record for the Ryzen 9 9950X under liquid nitrogen with 55,327 points on Cinebench R23.

However, this record still doesn’t surpass the desktop processor record achieved by the Intel i9-14900K on HWBOT, which reached 56,938 points on Cinebench R23. This record was achieved by Taiwanese overclocker Hicookie with a Z790 Tachyon and a RAM profile clocked at over 8000 MHz in CL38.

So you see, overclocking records continue to fall even before the official release of the new Ryzen processors, and there’s more to come. We can expect even more records when the Ryzen 9 9950X is released.
