Every day we see new leaks concerning the Ryzen 9000. At the same time (as the other guy would say), the launch of this generation is fast approaching, despite a two-week postponement. This time, the leak concerns a Ryzen 9 9950X overclocked to 6.00 GHz. The processor in question has undergone Geekbench testing, on which it displays solid performance!

Clearly, the processor in question is a “pre-launch” model. Logically, this means that we’re talking about a definitive CPU that has found its way into the hands of an overclocker or store assistant, for example.

In any case, the news here is that the processor has been overclocked to 6 GHz. However, we don’t know the nature of the cooling system used here: aircooling, watercooling and so on. On the other hand, we do know that the motherboard used was an ASUS Crosshair X670E paired with 32 GB of DDR5 running at 6000 MT/s.

In terms of scores (Geekbench 5), we’re talking about 2,795 pts in single-thread mode versus 30,050 in multi-thread mode. Compared with a stock configuration (default settings), this represents a 10% improvement in single-threaded performance and a 13% improvement in multi-threaded performance. However, against a Core i9 14900K (that doesn’t crash), the scores are 12% and 16% higher in single- and multi-threaded mode respectively.

As for Geekbench 6, we’re talking about scores of 3,706 pts in single and 26,047 in multi. Once again, scores are 10% and 20% higher than 9950X @stock and 16% and 19% higher than 14900K @stock.
