The rumors surrounding the future RTX 40 Super had died down a little… Until today. Via ITHome, we’ve learned that the launch dates have leaked. Clearly, NVIDIA isn’t waiting for CES to announce its cards!
RTX 40 Super: announcement on January 8, gradual launch in the second half of the month!
According to the sources of our Chinese colleagues, NVIDIA is planning a conference somewhere on January 8, 2024, shortly before CES. It should be noted that the Las Vegas show will open its doors from January 10 to 13, 2024, i.e. just before. This conference would be an opportunity for the company to announce its three new cards: RTX 4070 Super, RTX 4070 Ti Super and RTX 4080 Super.
Thereafter, the launch would take place progressively following this announcement. The RTX 4070 Super will be the first model to be released. It should go on sale on January 17. The RTX 4070 Ti Super is scheduled for release on January 24, followed by the RTX 4080 Super on January 31.
Once again, as previously rumored, the RTX 4070 Ti Super and RTX 4080 Super will replace their non-Super counterparts. However, RTX 4070 and RTX 4070 Ti Super will coexist.
Finally, in terms of price and performance, we have :
- RTX 4070 Super: priced between $599 and $649, with performance equivalent to the RTX 4070 Ti.
- RTX 4070 Ti Super: priced between $799 and $849, 14% to 22% faster than the non-Super version.
- RTX 4080 Super: priced at $999, with a performance gain of 6 to 9% over the current RTX 4080.
