Review: ROG STRIX RTX 4080 SUPER OC Edition

0

The third custom RTX 4080 we’ve received is the ROG STRIX RTX 4080 SUPER OC Edition, in other words, ROG’s top-of-the-range graphics card. In fact, it’s the RTX 4080 SUPER that boasts the highest factory overclocking of the various models reviewed today. This is the latest model in the “SUPER” series announced by NVIDIA at CES 2024 in Las Vegas. We also bring you today’s review of the NVIDIA RTX 4080 SUPER Founders Edition, the KFA2 RTX 4080 SUPER SG 1-Click OC and the Gigabyte RTX 4080 SUPER Gaming OC. All tests have been postponed to this January 31 date due to delays on some samples.

The NVIDIA RTX 4080 SUPER officially arrives on January 31 at the MSRP price of 1109 euros ($999). This is excellent news on the price front, since the RTX 4080 was launched at $1199. As with the RTX 4070 Ti, production of the RTX 4080 will cease. While the amount of memory remains unchanged at 16 GB, the number of CUDA cores has risen from 9728 to 10240, so we should see a slight gain in performance over the RTX 4080.

Many thanks to ASUS France for providing this sample of the ROG STRIX RTX 4080 SUPER OC Edition.
