Raptor Lake sales seem to be better than Ryzen 7000 sales

Still digesting the craziness of the Covid pandemic, the PC industry is still hungover at the end of 2022. However, we can say that we are well served in terms of new products with the Ryzen 7000 from AMD and the Raptor Lake from Intel. In this CPU match, Intel seems to be doing well with interesting sales figures as its latest model, the Raptor Lake, has just been launched.

Raptor Lake ventes VS Ryzen 7000 So based on the collection of sales figures from Mindfactory in Germany, we can get a relatively accurate picture of the situation. For example, comparing the launch of Raptor Lake to the launch of Ryzen 7000 over a similar period, Intel sold 40-50% more 13th generation CPUs than its red competitor. But beware, as we had already seen, AMD is making up for the total sales by continuing to sell many more AM4 processors!

ventes Raptor Lake VS AM5

Raptor Lake sales: an excellent launch for Intel?

This situation is obviously explained by several factors. Even if we can’t talk about a large domination of Raptor Lake over the Ryzen 7000, the latter manage to compete in games but are globally outperformed in “productivity” in most tests. It appears that the Raptor Lake offers a more homogeneous behavior. Then, AMD is caught on the low end of the score it has been playing for years. With Zen 4, the user who wants to equip himself must change almost all his hardware (motherboard and ram) where Intel allows bridges between its twelfth and thirteenth generation. Finally, in the motherboard field, AMD seems to have lost where it was strong. AM5 motherboards are out of price! Regularly, with equivalent brand and range, the Intel option is even more advantageous… A shame.
