ASUS expands its Prime range with a new case. The brand initiated this range with the Prime AP201, then completed it with the Prime AP202. Today, we learn of the announcement of the Prime AP303, a model which retains the spirit of the series, but adopts a mid-tower format and is intended to be compatible with ATX motherboards!
Prime AP303: ASUS switches to ATX format with its Prime series!
Dimensions: 215 (W) x 485 (D) x 425 (H) mm. Weight is announced at 6.8 kg for the mesh model, versus 7.8 kg for the tempered glass version.
Inside, we find an original layout, with the power supply unit installed vertically at the front. The latter benefits from 180 mm of clearance. As for the graphics card, the case leaves a space 36 cm deep, while a graphics card support is present to prevent it from tilting over time. Finally, the CPU cooling system is 165 mm high, while the motherboard can adopt the maximum ATX format.
As far as cooling is concerned, this Prime AP303 should allow the installation of three 120/140 mm fans at the top, as opposed to one 120 mm fan at the rear. Finally, at the bottom, we can see the possibility of fitting up to three 120 mm fans. As for watercooling, the radiator support goes up to 360 mm at the top.
Of course, this model is inspired by the original AP201, whose shape and aesthetics it takes up. This model also adopts a mesh front panel and a mesh or glass panel, depending on whether you want better breathability or to admire your machine’s innards.
For the moment, we don’t yet know the retail price.
