As far as NVIDIA is concerned, the least we can say is that the company is “making money”. Indeed, the artificial intelligence sector is boosting the company’s results, with sales up 85% year-on-year! Profits are also up sharply: +211% year-on-year and +36% quarter-on-quarter. In short, NVIDIA can be seen as Scrooge’s safe!

NVIDIA: an excellent first quarter 2026!

+211% net profit year-on-year!

résultats financiers NVIDIA T1 2026

Broadly speaking, the chameleon is swimming in dough, since the company’s latest financial results show sales of $81.61 billion. The increase is substantial: +20% compared to the previous quarter, but above all +85% compared to Q1 2025. But most impressive of all are the company’s net profits, which show a staggering +211%, rising from $18.8 billion in Q1 2025 to $58.3 billion in Q1 2026.

Unfortunately, with these latest results, NVIDIA is reorganizing its business sectors, and leaving the old classification: Data center, Gaming, Embedded, Automotive, etc., behind. This time, we have two branches: Data center, which is split into two categories:

  • Hyperscale: for very large clouds and the world’s largest enterprises
  • ACIE: for IA clouds and companies specializing in other sectors such as enterprise, industry, government, etc.

Then we haveEdge Computing, which groups together revenues generated by Gaming, PCs and workstations, automobiles and robotics.

Finally, it’s sad to see that the company has completely drowned out the Gaming branch in one of its revenue categories. This clearly shows that the consumer sector no longer counts for much in the company’s figures.

The Data Center division: the most profitable!

Finally, to illustrate the importance of AI in the company’s figures, the Data Center branch generates $75.2 billion or 92% of sales (+21% vs. Q4 2025 and +92% year-on-year). In contrast, the Edge Computing sector, which includes gaming boards, only accounts for 8% of sales, with $6.4 billion in revenues (+10% vs. Q4 2025 and +29% year-on-year).

In short, NVIDIA is following the current trend where the artificial intelligence sector is the most dynamic, while the consumer sectors are stagnating or even regressing. This was the case not only for Intel, but also for AMD, which warned that figures for its consumer sector would suffer.
