Nvidia lowers RTX 40 prices!

0

Here is a good news. Nvidia has officially lowered the prices of its RTX 40, namely the 4080 and the 4090 FE in Europe. The RTX 4090 has been reduced from €1,949 to €1,859, while the RTX 4080 is now available at €1,399 instead of €1,469 on the official NVIDIA store. So calm down, don’t think that this decision is a gesture from the greens who finally realized that the market was problematic… No, this readjustment is just the consequence of a slight recovery of the Euro against the US dollar

It’s snowing: Nvidia drops RTX 40 prices

The Euro is back on track…

We will now have to see if this drop also materializes on the custom versions of Nvidia’s partners. In the meantime, we have to keep in mind that a reverse movement on the €/$ conversion could also quickly reverse the trend.

In the next few days, AMD will launch its Radeon RX 7000, and we’ll have to watch how the Reds position their European prices, especially in view of the currency evolution. But let’s be objective, 5% is always good to take but we are still on a price level that is much too high as we have been saying for many weeks.

A price drop of only 5% should not restore Nvidia’s reputation and ensure a turnaround in sales for the GeForce RTX 4080.

[UPDATE 14:12]
A real drop on December 15?
But these fluctuations caused by the currency might not be the only good news. If we are gullible and believe (still) in Santa Claus, we will listen carefully to some sources that indicate that NVIDIA is preparing a price drop for its RTX 4080. The price drop would be aimed at countering the competition of the RX 7900 and could take place in mid-December.
