New screens from MSI, with four new models in all. The program includes three models with IPS panels and one with a VA panel! Make way for the MAG 345CQR, MAG 274QRF QD E2, G274QPX and G255PF E2!

G255PF E2: a small model with IPS panel!

MSI G255PF E2 IPS

The G255PF E2 is the smallest screen in the range. Indeed, it boasts a responsive panel capable of 180 Hz display. Latency is no exception either, with a gray-to-gray response time of 1 ms. What’s more, with its 24″ diagonal, MSI has equipped it with a 1080p flat panel.

It also boasts 300 nits of brightness and 1000:1 contrast. Color space coverage is 99% for sRGB, 78% for DCI-P3 and 82% for Adobe RGB.

Last but not least, the stand can be adjusted in all directions, and connectivity includes a 3.5 mm jack, DisplayPort 1.2a and two HDMI 2.0b.

G274QPX: bigger and more responsive!

With the G274QPX, MSI continues to offer an IPS panel. However, the latter is better defined (2560×1440) and more responsive. Refresh rate is 240 Hz, while latency is still 1 ms gray-to-gray. Note that this is a 27″ model.

On the other hand, we’re treated to a brightness of 400 nits and a contrast ratio of 1000:1. All of which qualifies it for DisplayHDR400 certification.

Here, in addition to DisplayPort 1.4a and HDMI 2.0b connectors, we find a 65W USB-C.

MAG 274QRF QD E2: another IPS model!

We’re still talking about a 27″ flat IPS screen with 2560x1440p resolution. On the other hand, the frequency is lower, at 180 Hz, while latency is 1 gray to gray.

Once again, there’s no change in display characteristics. Brightness is still at 400 nits, while contrast is at a typical 1000:1. However, Adobe RGB, DCI-P3 and sRGB coverage are at 94%, 98% and 150% respectively.

On the connectivity side, we’re treated to a DisplayPort 1.4a, two HDMI 2.0b and a USB-C in DisplayPort providing up to 65W for charging. And, of course, there’s a stand that can be adjusted in all directions.

MAG 345CQR, a VA in 34″ UWQHD:

MSI MAG 345CQR

With this screen, we end with the largest model of the three, with its 34″ VA panel. It also benefits from a 1000R curved panel, while offering a 21:9 format display with 3440×1440 resolution. Reactivity is also the order of the day, with 180 Hz and 1 ms gray-to-gray latency.

As for the display, it boasts 300 nits of brightness and 3000:1 contrast. We’ll also mention its 99% coverage of sRGB color ranges and 95% for DCI-P3. All this enables it to display 1.07 billion colors, as well as being HDR ready.

Connectivity features a DisplayPort 1.4a coupled with two HDMI 2.0b and a headphone/microphone jack. The stand can be adjusted in all directions, but not in portrait mode! Last but not least, we’ll be paying close attention to its dimensions – 34″ is a big one: almost 80 cm!
