Moore Thread launches its new MTT S70 graphics card!

Chinese company Moore Thread continues to roll out its graphics cards. This time, the company is announcing its MTT S70, a model that follows on from the MTT S80, which we’ve been telling you about on several occasions. This time, the aim is to offer a more affordable card than the S80, with a smaller GPU!

MTT S70: Moore Thread launches a new graphics card!

Moore Thread MTT S70With this new card, the Chinese brand retains the design of the S80, with a fairly long heatsink featuring three fans. The look also remains in the same vein as the first model.

Where the changes come into play, however, is in the GPU configuration. The GPU benefits from a neutered chip compared to the S80. Where the first card had a full GPU with 4096 musa cores, this one only has 3584. Computing performance is logically down, from 14.4 TFLOP in FP32 to 11.2 TFLOP. As for frequency, the card operates at 1.6 GHz.

Memory-wise, we’re treated to a rather strange configuration, since this model features 7 GB of GDDR6 VRAM. How this is organized remains to be seen, but we do know that memory bandwidth is 392 GB/s… More than an RTX 4060 Ti, by the way… But performance will clearly not be up to its level, far from it. Finally, unlike the MTT S80, we’ve dispensed with the PCIe 5.0 x16 interface, making do with PCIe 4.0 x16.

Finally, there are three DisplayPort 1.4a outputs and one HDMI 2.1. As for dimensions, the board measures 285 (L) x 112 (W) x 49 (H) mm.

As we said, on the performance front, don’t expect anything revolutionary… Especially when you consider that the S80 is often on a par with a GT 1030. But you have to start somewhere.
