Today, we are finally entitled to Intel Core i9-12900K sold publicly in China, on the site 闲鱼, owned by Alibaba.
An Intel Core i9-12900K ES2 for €600:
First spotted by twittos @yuuki_ans, who had already shared with us Alder Lake processors for sale (but only by private message and not on a marketplace), reveals i9-12900K available for sale in China.
We have here several i9-12900K in ES2 version which are on sale for the price of 4500 yuan, or about 600€. The seller says that the processors are functional and overclockable. Unfortunately only the CPU is sold, so you will need a motherboard with Z590 chipset to make it work.
The new Alder Lake generation packaging:
The website VideoCardz, has received images of the packaging of the next Alder Lake processors, with the return for the i9 of a simpler box than the previous ones (CML and RKL) with sometimes atypical shapes.
Intel comes back to a square box for the i9-12900K, allowing a simplified transport, compared to the i9-11900K or the i9-10900k. The design remains classic as usual at Intel, but with a trompe l’oeil effect on the box representing a wafer, which gives it a particular style.
Concerning the rest of the range, little change if it is not that the mention 12th gen allows to recognize its new processors compared to the 11th generation. For the moment, there is no mention of the Intel Core i3, which will probably be launched later.
We only have to wait for October 28th and the Intel Innovation Event where the Alder Lake will be officially launched to know the last details (like the official prices).
