Desktop range fully unveiled

In parallel to the mobile processors, Intel unveils the rest of the desktop range with more than 22 new models.

New processors, chipsets and fans :

This new range of non-K processors will be oriented towards the general public, and will offer new cooling solutions delivered with the CPU. Three new fans are launched, with the RH1 for i9 which will offer a quasi-silence and with aRGB LED, the RM1 for i7, i5 and i3 and RS1 for Pentium and Celeron. All the heatsinks will be guaranteed for 3 years.

It is Alder Lake non-K, despite a PBP reduced to 65W still offers superior performance to the competition and the previous generation of Intel processors, both in video games and content creation.

On Lightroom, Premiere Pro and Nero Score benchmarks , Intel compares its i5-12600 to the R7-5700G with 18%, 31% and 17% higher performance respectively and which can go up to +39%, 43% and 37% when compared this time to the i9-12900, making its processors leaders in content creation.

On the gaming side, the i9-12900 offers an average of 15% better performance than i9-11900 on 5 different titles, making it a very good processor for mainstream gamers.

The non-K Alder Lake processors will be accompanied by 3 new chipsets: H670, B660 and H610.

The H670 will be almost identical to the Z690, but will not have the ability to overclock the cores, however the features will not be that different, with only 4 lines of PCIe 3.0 and 2 USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 (20G) less.

The B660 will be more restricted with up to 6 lines of PCIe 4.0 and 8 of PCIe 3.0, while the H610, which represents the lower end of the range, will not have access to PCIe 4.0, but all the chipsets will come with Wi-Fi 6E support. For the rest of the information about the processor models launched, all the figures can be found on the tables below.
