Galax has announced a new graphics card, an RTX 5070 Ti HOF. Two versions of the card will be offered: Deluxe and Deluxe-X. The main difference between the two versions is the operating frequency. Obviously, the Deluxe-X will be even faster, with even more advanced factory overclocking!
RTX 5070 Ti HOF: a third Hall Of Fame from Galax!
On the programme, we find a card which, on the face of it, would be based on the RTX 5080 HOF, the only difference being in the GPU and memory. Otherwise, there are no major changes to the PCB. What’s more, it’s an easy card to offer, since the RTX 5070 Ti uses the same GPU as the RTX 5080: a GB203.
The programme therefore includes a customised PCB incorporating numerous power supply phases. There are 26 power supply phases to power the GPU and memory. According to our colleague, one phase will also be dedicated to the 16-pin power supply.
Be that as it may, we’ll be taking our pick of a solid triple-slot cooling system equipped with three fans. The radiator also benefits from six copper heat pipes. This is what it takes to dissipate the watts emitted by a GPU that has been heavily overclocked from the factory. We’re talking about a boost of up to 2580 MHz in the Deluxe version, compared with 2610 MHz for the Deluxe-X version. Remember that the reference card operates at 2452 MHz, so the difference is 158 MHz. What’s more, to go so high, Galax has debrided the power consumption limit, which now stands at 350W, 10W less than an RTX 5080.
For the moment, we have no idea what the price will be or when it will be available. In any case, we shouldn’t get our hopes up for Europe, as it’s been a while since any HOFs have been sold here.
