It’s been a while since Fractal announced its arrival in the headphone field. Almost a year later, on June 18 of this year, Fractal Design will launch its first audio product, the Scape. For the moment, it’s hard to say just how good a reference this product will be, given the dense market in this segment. The Swedish manufacturer intends to capitalize on its brand image with products that blend elegance and simplicity. It will certainly take a little more to make its mark in this highly competitive market, however.
The Fractal Scape is positioned as a high-end reference aimed at the gaming community, but not only. This headset offers audio connectivity via a low-latency dongle, as well as multi-device Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, and is equipped with a removable microphone with mute function. You’ll immediately notice the brand’s own sleek design, but it’s also a shift that several brands have begun to make (we talked about it in connection with the latest Corsair Void Wireless V2 headset). A less confrontational design that goes beyond gaming. Another argument put forward by Fractal is the unprecedented ease of setting and customizing audio profiles. Audio presets can be easily customized using an online configuration tool called Adjust Pro. The special feature of this tool is that it requires no software installation or registration.
The headset will be launched in all markets on June 18, in two colors, black or off-white, with a recommended retail price of $199.99. The docking station is included with the headset.
