Here’s some very valuable information to get an idea of the performance of the upcoming Ryzen 7000. Extreme Player managed to get a Cinebench R20 test result for the Ryzen 7700X, the upcoming 8-core / 16-thread processor of the new generation of Reds. Without knowing if we are on its original frequency, the test shows us a clock speed of 4.5 GHz. In this test, the 7700X scored 773 points in single-core and 7701 points in multi-core tests.IF we make the comparison with its predecessor 5800X (same configuration of cores), the newcomer is 23% faster in the single-core test and 33% faster in multi-core.
In the comparisons displayed, the only faster CPU is the Core i7-13700K which scores 814 points in single core and is 46% faster in multi-core but with a much higher configuration ( 16 cores / 24 threads ). For the moment this leak is promising. The AMD Ryzen 7 7700X would indeed be a processor with 8 cores and 16 threads running at a Base/Turbo frequency of 4.50 / 5.40 GHz with access to a total of 40 MB cache (32 MB L3 + 8 MB L2) and a TDP of 105W. If this information is definitive, Cinebench R20 reveals that the processor runs at 4.50 GHz, so we are facing a final version of the CPU, which allows a perfect comparison of performance against other CPUs. We’ll have to wait a few more days to have all the figures on the Ryzen 7000 made official, as there are still many questions as mentioned in the latest CapframeX post.
