We headed for the Silverstone stand, where some particularly original watercooling kits were on display. The brand is showcasing its IceMyst kits, which can be fitted with many, many fans!

IceMyst: a pump that cools… A lot!

The concept behind this kit is to be able to add as many fans as necessary to the kit’s pump cover. We think this is an interesting concept, since it will allow you to cool all the components positioned around the motherboard socket. Trouble with the RAM ? No problem, we’ll just add a windmill. Same thing for the M.2 SSD in PCIe Gen5? A fan. And what about the motherboard VRMs ? Why not add two?

For the moment, the principle is interesting, since adding an extra fan is simply a matter of connecting them to each other on top of the pump. Once connected, they can be oriented as desired. On the other hand, you’ll have to be careful about the power delivered by your motherboard’s PWM connector, which seems to be the only limit to the number of fans you can mount on the pump.

It remains to be seen what the noise level will be. Note also that these fans are 70 mm in diameter.
