Last September eVGA announced the end of its activity in the field of graphics cards. The news had a lot of noise since the company was famous in this field. This news was all the more shocking because it came suddenly, without any real warning. On the other hand, at the time of the announcement, the brand was already working on the new generation of cards from NVIDIA, the famous RTX 4090. A few prototypes of RTX 4090 FTW3 were produced and one of them is in the hands of JayzTwoCents.

RTX 4090 FTW3: a card in the hands of JayzTwoCents!

EVGA RTX 4090 FTW 3 DespiteEVGA ‘s discontinuation in the graphics card business, the brand was still working on the RTX 4090, and as we can see, the company has released a few prototypes that are close to commercialization. Indeed, the model in the hands of JayzTwoCents is very clean with no apparent measurement or control points. On the other hand, the card must have been larger than the RTX 3090 Ti. The heatsink is indeed wider and longer. However, it still has three fans and a perforated backplate. By the way, it was supposed to be part of the ICX series for the record.

However, EVGA ‘s board was distinguished by the presence of a 16-pin power connector positioned on the back of the PCB. This would have made wiring easier or, alternatively, would have allowed a cleaner installation visually speaking.

The other thing that tells us that the board was close to commercialization is the fact that it is fully functional. It is fully supported by the brand’s software: Precision X. JayzTwoCents was then able to push the card to some 3000 MHz without any trouble with fully functional sensors, etc. etc.
