For some weeks now, we’ve known that Lisa SU, AMD’s CEO, will be speaking and hosting the official opening conference of Computex 2024. But she won’t be alone, as the whole tech world will be there. Pat Gelsinger will also be presenting a keynote for Intel, and we’ve just learned that NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang will be giving a live speech on June 2 at 7 p.m. Taiwan time…just a few hours before the show officially opens.
AI overdose announced for Computex 2024
Traditionally, Computex is almost 100% PC hardware-oriented, but without resorting to our traditional crystal ball, it seems clear that this year we’re in for an AI overdose. In this respect, the theme of Nvidia boss Jensen Huang ‘s speech is revealing: he will explain how the AI era is driving a new industrial revolution across the globe . Far be it from us to downplay the impact of AI on industry, but we prefer to be clear-sighted: those expecting announcements about the next GeForce RTX 50 or other thunderous announcements for their PCs are in for a big disappointment.
