It’s clear that manufacturers are trying to innovate on the design front with this RTX 50 generation. A few days ago, we were smiling at the ROG Astral Dhahab Edition and its gold plating… MSI is going one better with an RTX 5090 SUPRIM TITANIUM (a 5080 version is also in the catalogue). It features a two-tone gold and titanium cooling shroud all round. The top surface, around the fans, has a textured matt finish that is unusual to say the least… Objectively speaking, we don’t think it’s in the best taste. Nevertheless, as its name suggests, the card really does use titanium, a strong, light material… And more expensive than gold. A way of attracting a different type of customer?
RTX 5090 SUPRIM TITANIUM & ROG Astral Dhahab Edition: same battle?
In terms of technical features, we’re not expecting any changes compared to the ‘classic’ Suprim. If you remember, we had the opportunity to test this card (in French) some time ago. We were really impressed with the card’s excellent cooling capabilities and remarkable silence. We also emphasised the sobriety of its design… We’re clearly not there anymore with this version. But then, you know the rest. If the card retains its original qualities, then potential buyers will make their choice based on the two designs (and no doubt the depth of their wallet). MSI is not communicating on the availability or even the potential price of this reference. The Asus equivalent is said to retail at over €7,000…
