With its new RTX 5090 ROG Astral Dhahab Edition, ASUS is offering us a new graphics card with a blinged-out look. However, it’s also a representation of Middle Eastern luxury, with gold and green/turquoise hues on the casing. In short, a card that won’t go unnoticed and whose aim is to celebrate the rapid evolution of the Middle East. You either like it or you don’t.

RTX 5090 ROG Astral Dahab Edtion: luxury in the Middle East!

ASUS RTX 5090 ROG Astral Dhahab EditionClearly, the card is inspired by Middle Eastern luxury, with these golden hues present absolutely everywhere on the card. It’s found on the casing, the backplate, the fan stickers and even the heatsink fins and PCIe bracket are gold! What’s more, the brand emphasises these tones with turquoise, which can be seen on the various edgings around the last fan and the one at the rear of the card.

In addition to these ‘flashy’ colours, ASUS has opted for a few graphic elements. On the backplate in particular, we find the silhouette of large skyscrapers with what looks like a desert caravan at their foot. On the side of the shell, there is writing in Arabic. According to VideoCardz, these mean strength, courage and unity.

ASUS RTX 5090 ROG Astral Dhahab EditionAside from the visual aspect, this ROG Astral has a four-fan heatsink. The latter also benefits from phase-change thermal pads and a patented vapour chamber. Otherwise, the PCB is also solid, with 80A MOSFETs, numerous power supply phases, and so on. However, for this special version, ASUS has not applied any additional overclocking. This model therefore remains in line with the original Astral, with a boost to 2580 MHz by default, 2610 MHz in OC mode.

Now, what about the price, given that the original Astral is one of the most expensive custom boards… We’re talking about 40% more than an NVIDIA Founder. We therefore expect this RTX 5090 ROG Astral Dhahab Edition to cost in excess of €3,500.
