Some time ago, Intel announced a price increase on its components for the fourth quarter of this year during a discussion between John Pitzer (Intel’s Vice President in charge of investor relations) and the financial community. In the last few days, it has been confirmed that Intel’s price increase will not only affect processors, but also chipsets, especially the 700 series.

If this information is true (we must remain cautious given the multiplication of counter-fires in the communication strategy of the brands), it is the Raptor Lake range (Intel Core 13) that would be impacted.
The inflation that you all suffer is particularly high for months on products that affect the PC world. But this situation seems to have seized the spring of growth that allowed brands to allow themselves everything. The beginning of 2022 is very bad and Intel is particularly hit by a significant drop in demand. If Intel, like other brands, decided that the solution to their declining numbers was to raise prices, it’s a safe bet that the end customer would remain in the same mood throughout the next few months.
Intel, as well as AMD and Nvidia, are expected to be on the price front with their new products that should be released in the next few days. On the brands’ side, we hope that the massive arrival of new products for the fourth quarter will save the year 2022… On these bases, it seems to be a bad start.
