ToughAir 710: the return of TT’s dual-tower fan

With its new ToughAir 710, Thermaltake is renewing its ties with dual-tower air-cooling heatsinks. This is exactly what the brand is offering us with this model equipped with two 140 mm fans!

Toughair 710: the revival of the dual tower fan from Thermaltake!

Thermaltake ToughAir 710With this new model, Thermaltake offers us an imposing aircooling heatsink in double tower format. The dimensions are 148.6 (W) x 146.6 (D) x 165 (H) mm.

The structure consists of two cooling towers made up of aluminium fins. These are crossed by a total of seven copper heat pipes of 6 mm each. The whole assembly is joined at a nickel-plated copper base, but the finish is not mirror-like. Furthermore, the base is not eccentric in either direction, so look out for the first PCIe slot on your motherboard, and the same goes for the RAM.

As for the ventilation, there are two 140mm x 25mm fans. These are PWM powered and operate from 500 rpm to 1500 rpm. With an L.N.C. adapter we can reduce their speed, for more silence, to 1100 rpm. As for the air flow and static pressure, the brand announces :

  • Without L.N.C :
    • Airflow: 81.96 CFM
    • Static pressure: 1.81 mmH2O
  • With L.N.C :
    • Air flow: 65.03 CFM
    • Static pressure: 1.3 mmH2O

The only thing left to talk about is socket compatibility with support for the LGA-2000 and LGA-1000 platforms. On the AMD side, only the AM4 and AM5 will be compatible. Finally, we learn that the heatsink manages TDP up to 250W.
