Thermal Grizzly introduces a new variant of its WireView Pro II. The latter now comes with a 40 cm cable, greatly enhancing the device’s compatibility with graphics cards. For example, it will be possible to use it with cards such as NVIDIA’s Founders Edition.
Thermal Grizzly adds a cable to its WireView Pro II!
Improved compatibility!
The role of the WireView is, quite simply, to monitor the current flowing through the 12V-2×6 pins of the graphics card. In the event of a power supply failure or fault, the device detects the anomaly and notifies the user with an audible alert. Alternatively, an automatic shutdown can be configured in the event of a problem. What’s more, the integrated display allows real-time monitoring of the current flowing through each of the connector pins.
This time, the brand has added a 40-centimeter cable to its device, making it compatible with more graphics cards. Until now, it was impossible to use it on Founders Edition versions of NVIDIA, but now it’s possible. What’s more, this cable length allows the device to be positioned elsewhere in a case, while still being held in place by the fasteners supplied.
As for the screen, we’d like to point out that it’s an IPS model offering 320 x 170 resolution.
The price tag continues to climb!
The original device was already expensive, costing no less than $140. This version’s price has risen by $35 to $175.38. Thermal Grizzly also offers an exceptional warranty: if your graphics card’s power connector melts, Thermal Grizzly will replace it, even after the warranty has expired. Of course, your hardware must be working in its original condition, without overclocking, hardware modifications, etc., etc.
