The Dynamic OC Switcher function on the Asus X670E

EDIT: this option might be available on other boards than the X670E, we will come back soon to confirm this information.

Alongside the announcement of its X670E motherboards, such as the ROG Crosshair X670E Gene and the Strix X670E-I Gaming WiFi, Asus has unveiled a new overclocking feature available on the “X670E” models: the Dynamic OC Switcher. We received some information that tells us more, thanks to Der8auer, German overclocker and present at yesterday’s conference of Asus at Gamescom.

The Dynamic OC Switcher should allow you to overclock your new generation AMD processor on all cores but benefit from the Boost on a single core via the PBO, which was previously impossible. ASUS highlights an exclusive feature of its X670E motherboards. The idea is to combine overclocking on all cores and automatic boost on a single core to get the best performance out of your CPU.

This new function will join the numerous overclocking tools present on the X670E models. In fact, we dedicated a brief to detailing the tools available on the ROG Crosshair X670E Extreme version. During our tests of the Asus X670E motherboards that we will receive, we will detail these tools but of course also this Dynamic OC Switcher function.
