Little by little, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D is being unveiled. A new batch of leaks has brought us some very encouraging news about this new processor, expected to become the new king of gaming. Via various sources (Wccftech and the Anandtech forum), new information is being shared!
Ryzen 7 9800X3D: 35% better Cinebench performance than the 7800X3D and 5.6 GHz on all cores!
From the shared screenshots, we find a processor that has been highlighted in various tests. First of all, we find it on Cinebench R23, where it achieves high scores. We’re talking 25,258 pts in multi-core against 2,261 pts in single-core. Compared with the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, these scores place AMD’s new processor 35% higher in multi-core and 25% higher in single-core than the current X3D processor.
It should also be pointed out that the processor reached a frequency of 5.6 GHz on all its cores. What’s more, the CPU seems to have run with the PBO active, with offset and BCLK. In addition, our colleagues point out that it would not be surprising to see the processor running at around 5.7 GHz.
Once again, it’s difficult to translate Cinebench performance into gaming, as the two uses are radically different. However, these results are promising, and even more so when it comes to frequencies. It should be pointed out that a 7800X3D is 5 GHz in turbo mode, so in this case we would be at least 200 MHz higher, and by playing with the PBO, we can reach 600 MHz more.
