The RTX 4070 Ti is now official. Nvidia has made its presentations and confirmed a starting price of 799 US$. As usual, taxes and the magic of conversion will bring this price to 910€ in Europe. That is, if the green partners play along, because for this reference, there will be no Founders Edition (and therefore no chance of having a reliable MSRP). So what to think of this 4070 Ti? As usual with Nvidia it’s a question of glass half full and glass half empty.
If we stick to the figures communicated yesterday, we have for a price just over 900€ a card more powerful, less greedy and 600 euros cheaper than the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti. Even better, this new card would be superior in Ray Tracing and in games thanks to the magic of DLSS 3. Seen from this angle, it’s quite a leap forward. But we can’t help but think of the RTX 3070 Ti. A card that we thought was expensive and that was offered at its launch at 619 euros…
Finally, before offering our own tests of these “new” RTX 4070Ti, we must not forget that in this price range Nvidia has to deal with the RX 7900 from AMD. We will obviously think of the 7900 XT. A lot of choices and questions before getting an idea of the real potential of this new reference.
