A new overclocking world record for Splave, who takes first place on Port Royal. The clocker, armed with an ASUS RTX 5090 Astral OC Edition, clocked over 47,300 pts on the software. In the process, he snatched first place from OGS, who posted 47,196 pts with an RTX 5090D, a model which is unfortunately no longer in production.
New world record for Splave: 47,375 pts on Port Royal!
On the program, the American overclocker was equipped with a premium RTX 5090, and with good reason: it was the Astral OC Edition from ASUS, one of the most expensive references currently on the market. The card therefore benefits from a highly customized PCB and an impressive cooling system. However, during the exercise, it was removed to make way for a liquid nitrogen bucket. Yes, the board was put through its paces under extreme cold, as nitrogen is -196°C. In short, after manual overclocking and probably a few other wizardly tricks that only a confirmed clocker would know, the board’s frequency climbed. The 3DMark screen shows a pink bar at around 3500 MHz, but unfortunately we won’t know much more than that. By default, however, the ASUS card operates at a frequency of 2610 MHz. Despite this, the American overclocker takes first place worldwide in all categories. At the same time, 47375 marks is no mean feat. Compared with the average score of an RTX 5090, which is around 36,000 pts, this represents a 31% improvement. Of course, records are made to be broken, so it remains to be seen how long Splave will remain at the top of the rankings. On the overclocking scene, as you know, things can happen very quickly. We all remember the RAM frequency records that were being broken every week!
