During its Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event, Samsung announced new portable machines for designers. In the Galaxy Book3 Ultra, the brand manages to integrate Core i9 and RTX 4070, all in a machine weighing less than 1.8 kg!

Galaxy Book3 Ultra: a big configuration!

Samsung Galaxy Book3 Ultra

This Ultra model comes with a nice AMOLED screen with a 2880×1800 resolution and a frequency between 48 Hz and 120 Hz via Variable Refresh Rate.

To animate this screen, the brand opts for an RTX 4070 from NVIDIA. However, the version of the card is not clear, is it the Mobile or Max-Q model? Difficult to say, knowing that between the two, there is a difference in size, the TDP. The Mobile version is 115W of TDP against 35W for the Max-Q with an impact on the frequencies. However, considering the chassis, we assume that it is the 35W version.

On the processor side, the brand indicates that it uses the Core i9 of the thirteenth generation.

A slightly less muscular version is planned, which will use a Core i7 and be coupled with an RTX 4050. In any case, the machine will take a maximum of 32 GB of RAM type LPDDR5 with 1 TB of storage in PCIe SSD.

The Pro 360 and Pro versions more reasonable!

With the Pro 360 version, we lose the dedicated graphics part to be satisfied with the iGPU of the processor. On the screen, we always find an AMOLED panel with a changing resolution depending on the model. Depending on the configuration, we will have either 2880×1800 or 1920×1080. Finally, for the CPU, we go to Core i7 or Core i5 of 13th generation. As for the RAM, it drops to 16 GB, or even 8 GB for the model with Core i5, but it remains a 2-in-1 hybrid convertible.
