Via a conversation on Twitter, we learn that the Ryzen 9000X3D is due to be unveiled during CES next year. Fortunately, this is an event that takes place at the beginning of the year, in January to be precise.
Ryzen 9000X3D: an announcement in January 2025?
As a reminder, these processors will feature a larger amount of L3 cache memory. To achieve this, we have a 3D V-Cache die offering a capacity of 64 MB. This little memory boost can improve gaming performance, sometimes considerably, which is the area that benefits most from it. It’s thanks to this memory that the Ryzen 7 7800X3D remains the king of gaming, ahead of the recently launched Ryzen 9000X.
In response to a tweet from @9550pro, alias HXL, on twitter, we learn that these famous processors will see the light of day early next year. In response to his tweet, CES was mentioned by 1usmus and Hassan Mujtaba, editor at Wcctech.
For this generation, AMD should be offering some new features, particularly in terms of overclocking. If all goes well, we should see the arrival of advanced functions such as voltage and multiplier control.
It now remains to be seen how many references will be available with this additional cache memory. If AMD proceeds as it has with its Ryzen 7000s, we should have Ryzen 9 9950X3D, Ryzen 9 9900X3D and a Ryzen 7 9800X3D. And why not a Ryzen 5 9600X3D exclusively from Micro Center at $300, as usual? Of course, by default, there could also be a frequency deficit.
As a reminder, in 2025 CES will be held between 7 and 10 January, again in Las Vegas.
