Ryzen 5 7600X3D: a Micro-Center exclusive at $300, seriously?

0

The Ryzen 5 7600X3D is the new AMD processor to be equipped with 3D V-Cache memory. Admittedly, it’s not the one we were expecting, but it could have delighted many less fortunate gamers if it had been available to everyone. But no, instead the company has pulled the same trick as with its Ryzen 5 5600X3D: exclusivity for a single shop in the United States: Micro Center. Plz AMD, we want to be happy too!

Ryzen 5 7600X3D: another exclusive…

Ryzen 7600X3D

As a reminder, the 7600X3D is a Ryzen 5 7600X with a 64 MB 3D V-Cache tile. With this little extra cache memory, the processor sees its performance jump, particularly in games, which is why the 7800X3D is still ahead of the Ryzen 9000.

Otherwise, we have a 6c/12T processor running at a maximum of 4.7 GHz. Compared with its non-X3D counterpart, it’s a clear step backwards, reaching 5.3 GHz. There has also been a significant reduction in power consumption/heating, with the TDP dropping from 105W to just 65W. As for the l3 cache memory, it increases from 32 MB to 96 MB, same as the Ryzen 7 7800X3D.

Anyway, as we said, it’s a Micro Center exclusive in the US, and that’s frustrating. For the price, the CPU is listed at $299.99, with a bonus bundle offer of a card and RAM at a discounted price. For $450, you can treat yourself to a TUF Gaming B650-Plus WiFi and 36GB of 6000 MT/s DDR5.
