The Ryzen 7 7800X3D is the next and last Ryzen 7000X3D to be released. This processor was announced last January at an official price of $449. But as you know, in Europe with the different taxes and the euro/dollar conversion that yo-yo, things are not so simple. By the way, we briefly talked about it yesterday with the slight price drop of the RTX 4090.

The Ryzen 7 7800X3D displayed at more than 500 € in Europe!

As a reminder, the “7800X3D” is the next processor from AMD to offer 3D V-Cache memory. Via this last one, the reds drastically increase the amount of cache of the CPU. This model should then offer a total of 512 KB of L1 cache, 8 MB of L2 and 96 MB of L3 (shared).

Otherwise, we find a processor with eight cores with hyperthreading. In terms of frequency, all this little world grinds at 4.2 GHz with a turbo capable of rising to 5 GHz. Regarding heating, the TDP is announced at 120W, which should not be very difficult to dissipate with an AIO.

Regarding prices, this processor is displayed at two retailers, one in Slovenia, the other in Germany. The respective prices are then 530.01 € against 607.39 €. If you want to get an idea of the price of a component before its launch, the best is to apply the following formula:

  • Advertised price in dollars + exchange rate €/$ + 20% (VAT).

If we apply this formula, we obtain: €422.78 with the current euro/dollar conversion (€1 = $1.062). To this value without tax, we add our 20% French VAT, we get a selling price that should be around 507 €. Now, this is an indicative price since the final invoice amount will also depend on the operating margins of the different stores, etc., etc.
