[Rumour] Towards a 12GB RTX 5060 selling for over €500!

A new rumour from VideoCardz, based on a screenshot from one of the site’s community members. The screenshot shows an RTX 5060 priced at around 3,799 yuan, with 12GB of VRAM rather than 8GB of memory. Given the source, this information should be taken with a grain of salt… Especially as we’ve had a good deal of contradictory information.

The RTX 5060 would have 12 GB of VRAM and would be sold at over €500?

RTX 5060 12 Go prix

The screenshot shared by our colleagues shows an RTX 5060 backed by a total of 12 GB of memory. In itself, it’s not impossible for the brand to offer such a capacity, since all that’s needed is to use 3 GB memory chips instead of 2 GB. Such chips exist, notably from Samsung. This would enable NVIDIA to offer a 50% increase in memory capacity, which is no mean feat. As for memory bandwidth, this should remain unchanged at 448 GB/s.

Now comes the worrying question of price. The screenshot shows prices in yuan. Knowing that the Chinese VAT is 13%, we can then estimate the price in euros at around €550 including VAT. As for the Ti, the price in euros would be around €630. Clearly, these prices are bullshit, as they are dangerously close to the RTX 5070. As a reminder, the Founders Edition MSRP model is listed at €650 on the NVIDIA site. The same goes for prices in yuan, which don’t add up: you can expect to pay 4599 yuan in China…
