On April 16, NVIDIA will officially unveil its RTX 5060 Ti. From there, we expect two versions of the card to be offered, with a 16GB RTX 5060 Ti and an 8GB version. However, while copies are starting to arrive in editorial circles, it would appear that the brand is not keen to send out 8GB models. What’s more, it would appear that this is not the card most favoured by the Greens!
RTX 5060 Ti 16GB first 3DMark scores!
VideoCardz has now managed to get its hands on the card’s 3DMark scores. On average, this model came out 20% better than the RTX 4060 Ti 16GB in the various tests. On the other hand, the RTX 5070 has a comfortable lead of around 33% over this newcomer, a rather substantial gap that could leave room for a potential RTX 5060 Ti Super…
Of course, it should be remembered that these are synthetic tests. Unfortunately, they are not the most revealing of the cards’ real performance, particularly in video games. Synthetic tests are purely theoretical and allow us to highlight GPU performance in various scenarios, such as ray tracing with Port Royal.
Be that as it may, rumour has it that NVIDIA will be focusing on the 16GB version of its card for its launch. This is reflected in the leaked sales prices. These show a 16GB model at $429, compared with $499 for the 4060 Ti 16GB. On the other hand, the 8GB version should suffer less than the RTX 4060 8GB thanks to its improved memory bandwidth… Anyway, that remains to be seen in tests… If samples are sent to the press, which doesn’t seem to be the case.
