RTX 5060: pre-assembled machines suggest a price of $299!

NewEgg and Best Buy recently displayed pre-assembled PCs with non-Ti RTX 5060s. Before being withdrawn, the leakers and VideoCardz were able to capture them. Given the components on display, this suggests a price of around $299 for NVIDIA’s future card. As a reminder, we’re expecting a launch on 15 May, one month after the 5060 Ti.

Broadly speaking, we’ll be looking at systems with an RTX 5060 as the graphics card, but which still cost in excess of $1300. However, depending on the components, we can estimate a retail price of around $299, with price variations depending on the machine. On the other hand, these variations can be induced by the power supply, the motherboard or the case used. Clearly, a PC with a Phanteks Evolv X2 will not cost the same as a machine equipped with a lower quality case.

Be that as it may, the latest rumours point to a card whose performance is not expected to increase enormously. What’s more, NVIDIA is said to be applying a pricing policy similar to that of its RTX 4060s: $299 for the 5060, $399 for the 5060 Ti and $499 for the Ti with 16GB of memory.

Once again, the technical specifications of the cards do not rise significantly. The memory part, apart from the switch to GDDR7 , remains unchanged: 128-bit bus. As for the Cuda cores, while they have increased, the difference is not very significant compared with their older generation counterparts. In short, we’ll have to keep an eye on this, but there’s no risk of a price explosion in this sector, so at least that’s something… Still, we’ll have to wait and see.
