RTX 4080 on sale in the UK?

Here’s an interesting piece of information caught by our friend Videocardz and which echoes one of our last news items. A British retailer has just lowered the price of an RTX 4080 in its catalog to £1,099.99 as part of a “Crispy Deal”. This price is clearly lower than the official MSRP of the RTX 4080 in the UK which is £1,199. As for the Euro zone, the UK price of the RTX 40 has recently been updated to better reflect the exchange rate with the $, which has been a bit less unfavorable lately. But the offer proposed by this retailer is still £100 lower than the base price (or about 116€ in this mid-December). So is the RTX 4080 on sale or just a commercial “operation” to move some stocks?

RTX 4080 on sale or just a publicity stunt?

So the question is simple: is this Palit RTX 4080 GameRock sold at a loss or is it the anticipation of a movement to recalibrate the price of RTX 40s that has been whispered for some time? NVIDIA could indeed decide to move its prices very soon, especially on the RTX 4080 which is not really successful. It must also be said that in the next few hours, the arrival of AMD’s RX 7900 could shake Nvidia’s certainties about its technological superiority. Thus, an adjustment could occur when AMD launches its Radeon RX 7900 series (December 15) or a few days later, during CES and the launch of the 4070 Ti.

Note that this price is still in progress on the site of the English distributor. After information from our sources at Palit, it is impossible to sell this card without losing money at this price… Even with the best conditions in the world.
