Despite NVIDIA’s desire to kill the format, there are plenty of blower graphics cards out there… even in the RTX 40 range. We’ve talked a lot about them on OCC. However, a new one has just appeared: the RTX 4060 Ti 16 Go Blower. A tiny single-slot card!
RTX 4060 Ti 16 Go Blower: a new version, but single slot!
For the moment, we don’t yet know who’s producing this model, but there’s a lot to be said for its compact format. As you can see, the card is very slim, occupying just one slot in a PC case. What’s more, its length remains reasonable at 26.7 cm.
Cooling is provided by a radial fan. The latter is quite imposing and is located at the rear of the card. On the front, we can make out the black fins, apparently exposed.
In short, the role of this type of heatsink is to expel hot air out of the case, through the card’s PCIe bracket. The latter features an opening to facilitate air extraction.
The card itself is based on the RTX 4060 Ti 16GB, which explains the single slot format. Indeed, with a TDP of 165W, it’s easy to adapt it in this way. The question now is what it’s designed for. In the comments to @MEGAsieGPU‘s post, the idea of an AI card was floated, which doesn’t seem so far-fetched given the format. It’s a model that we’ll be able to install in quantity, and that we’ll be able to power easily thanks to its unique rear-mounted 8-pin PCIe.
