The release date of the next generation of graphics cards is a concern for hardware enthusiasts as well as for the sales people of the major brands in the PC industry. In an ideal world a “marketing” launch this summer with a real arrival on the market in September would have been a perfect scenario. But we don’t seem to be heading in that direction. NVIDIA and AMD should release their graphics cards RTX 40 and RX 7000 in the same window of opportunity, i.e. in October and November.
According to the latest leaks, AMD is putting the Navi 3x GPUs into pre-production (Tape-In). This means, following the usual industry timelines, that AMD partners will receive the first GPUs in August. They will be able to start producing their own models after the usual testing phases. NVIDIA also seems to be on very similar timelines. It is therefore highly possible that the two companies will launch their latest GPUs at almost the same time, i.e. in October or November.

It remains to be seen how Nvidia and AMD’s partner brands will manage this simultaneous production/marketing load. Without wanting to talk about “agreement” at this stage, we notice that the numerous rumors all converge a different launch for the two chip giants. Nvidia would focus on the RTX 4090 and 4080 while AMD would launch its mid-range. Even if obviously all this remains assumptions, this strategy would fit perfectly to the brands … Last news, the month of August could be the subject of some announcements of the two companions.
