Rhino: an open-frame Geek case!

0

A new case reference from Geek with the Rhino. The main features of this case are its micro-ATX format and open frame design. In short, an original case for fans of SFF machines is always a winner. It remains to be seen what the availability of such a machine will be. Remember that Geek is Taiwanese, and is not necessarily well distributed in Europe, especially in France.

Rhino, a new open frame case for micro-ATX configurations!

Geek RhinoWith this new case, the brand is offering us an open frame reference with an original design, since it could be used as a benchmark table. As you can see, the components are left in the open air, making it very practical to constantly admire and tweak your machine… However, it’s less so when we start talking about dust and noise pollution.

However, this new model is rather special thanks to its construction, which includes acrylic panels and aluminium mounting blocks. The motherboard is presented at a temperature of 45°C, so the machine really stands out. As for dimensions, it will take up a little space: 250 (W) x 305 (D) x 275 (H) mm.

Despite this, the package offers a motherboard tray compatible with models in mini-ITX and micro-ATX format. The advantage of this format is that there are no size constraints for the graphics card or CPU cooling unit. However, on the power supply side, the manufacturer mentions ATX, SFX and SFX-L compatibility.

In terms of cooling, there isn’t really a fan slot. However, there is a 280/360 mm watercooling radiator support. It should even be possible to go further by allowing the radiator to protrude from the front of the case.

Note that the case arrives completely disassembled, so it will be up to the user to complete the assembly. However, at a price of $49.90 for this model and $39.90 for the 100% ITX version, it’s well worth the effort!
