Some time ago, Intel promised us a rather interesting performance gain with its new drivers. What is the reality? Techspot lends itself to the exercise with a re-test of the A770 on twelve games.
Re test of the Arc A770, really convincing gains ?
For the time being, our colleagues have conducted new tests to check the performance of the driver in version 101.4123. These tests were carried out on a total of 12 games and, in general, the performance gains are not very noticeable. In most cases, the card performs as with the initial test driver, 101.3802.
However, on Far Cry 6, we feel a fairly interesting FPS boost . On average, the map goes from 117 FPS to 129 FPS in 1080p for example… While we will gain 4 FPS on Spider-Man Remastered. However, the biggest gain is on Counter Strike: Global Offensive where the map finally passes the 300 FPS mark. Indeed, it goes from 145 FPS to 319 FPS in 1440p.
All in all, all this allows us to reach +9% more performance on this Arc A770… However, don’t be fooled, this figure is made possible mainly by Counter Strike Global Offensive. Without it, the average gain is only +2%. Anyway, it doesn’t take away the fact that these little Arc A750/750 are still very good products, especially when you consider the price they are sold at.
For our part, you can get an idea of the performance achieved by the custom model from Acer in our dedicated test. You can find it at this address !
