There was a time when changing the cooling system of your graphics card was a “must”. It allowed to gain either in performance or in silence…sometimes even both. Today Raijintek releases a kit capable of handling AMD Radeon RX 6700/6800/6900/XT but also compatible with GeForce RTX 3080/3090/4090/Ti called MORPHEUS 8069.
The Raijintek Morpheus 8069 does not do anything fancy with a massive design that will turn your card into a block occupying four slots in your case. But in return you’ll get a system that includes 6 huge heatpipes that run through an aluminum finned heatsink.
What’s interesting is that according to Raijntek, its system has a cooling capacity of up to 360W in passive mode. It is therefore quite possible to mount a passive RTX 3080 if the figures are correct. But 2 fans of 120mm being provided, the capacity allows then the compatibility with the GPU RTX 4090 (TDP at 450W). This kit should be launched on November 1st and no price is mentioned. It could however be a particularly interesting solution for those who want to spare their ears or simply those who want to change a damaged cooling system on a high-end card without switching to watercooling
The system in detail :
- Cooling capacity up to 360W TDP in passive mode
- 12 copper heat pipes and 129 fins.
- 5-piece copper and 4-piece aluminum heat sinks for efficient cooling of memory chips and VRM
- Thermal pad to significantly lower VRAM and VRM temperature and ensure good adhesion
- Compatible with AMD Radeon RX 6700/6800/6900/XT
- Compatible with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080/3090/4090/Ti
- Supports two 120mm fans (8 fan clips: 4 pieces for 12025, 4 pieces for 120123)
